Kelly Kleinman:
Hello from Southern California. This is the dealershipnews.com/ podcast where we bring you the new and old school insight into the business of selling cars and service. So you have the foresight to grow your dealership and stay ahead of the competition. I'm Kelly Kleinman. And here is our show.

Kelly Kleinman:
So El Patronn. It’s good to see you.

El Patronn:
Yes, sir. Good to see you as well.

Kelly Kleinman:
Thanks for stopping by our DealershipNews Awards quick-cast.

El Patronn:
I like that.

Kelly Kleinman:
You like the sound of that one.

Kelly Kleinman:
For those of you who for those of you out there who make it to the major automotive trade shows, you’ve probably seen El Patronn. He runs Brooklyn Mitsubishi, the boss of Brooklyn. He has his own podcast and he is the man behind Game Changer Con, which just ran in Miami just a week or two ago. He definitely knows how to market himself the right way. And because of who you are and how you handle yourself in your business, you are our Car Dealership Personality of the year. El Patronn. Congratulations

Kelly Kleinman:
Cue graphics and all sorts of fun stuff. Hey, you know, I couldn’t think of anybody else who’s better for it than you. And I really appreciate everything you’ve done with us and for us and for the the the dealership body itself.

El Patronn:
That’s amazing. Thank you so much. I’m honored, you surprised he didn’t tell me thats a good one, you got me on that one Kelly.

Kelly Kleinman:
You’re up there on the priority list. We got Sean. And we just did Steve Roessler.. And it was through Sean. I think that I met you. Sean Kelly..

El Patronn:
Yeah. I’m blown away, that’s amazine

Kelly Kleinman:
We couldn’t think of anybody else who deserved it more. So you are total no brainer. What? What’s in store for you in 2020?

El Patronn:
2020, there’s a lot of challenges. I’m looking to challenge myself. I’m looking to expand my network. And I think that what we’ve done here in Brooklyn, we’ve done amazing things. But I’m open to new ideas, new horizons. I have very good relations with this people. And they’ve done so much for me. And they’re just happy that, you know, this transpired this year. I had a record year for my brand personally. And, you know, we had we had a good year too, which is excited for 2020 and your decade. And we started. Right. Start. You’re right. We’re making some. You know, we’re getting uncomfortable being comfortable. All right. So we’re gonna make some some some sacrifices. And I’m going to this plant based diet, this transformation of my body. And it’s just going to be an amazing year. 2020’s. will be my my best year yet.

Kelly Kleinman:
Welcome to the plant based diet strategy as well. I’ve been doing it for about three weeks now. I’ll tell you that I’ve broken down and broke down over Thanksgiving.

Kelly Kleinman:
And I just had some sushi this morning for breakfast piece of pizza here and there, but for the most part, trying to stay plant-based. Congratulations. Let’s see how long we can handle it if we could drop a few pounds each.

El Patronn:
Happening right now, I’m giving up red meat. I’m doing a lot of stuff, man. A lot of stuff. It’s all about challenging yourself, right? I don’t believe in resolutions. I believe in taking action. If you say you to do something, do it, stick to it, whether it works or not. So that’s a lesson learned to me. I learned from my mistakes and failure is part of the process. You know, most people are afraid of failure, but I embrace it because I always do better.

Kelly Kleinman:
Words of wisdom from our car dealership. Personality of the Year. El Patronn, congrats again. Thanks, sir. Best of luck in 2020 and with that plant based diet. I’m right there with you. We should stay in touch over that too, cause we need support groups.

El Patronn:
Yeah, of course. Of course. I’ll keep you guys up-to-date. What’s going on with my journey? You know that the only way to do it is on social. Going to make sure that I document everything and make sure the transformation goes according to plan.

Kelly Kleinman:
All good. Have a great holiday. And thanks again for joining us. Talk to you soon, El Patronn.

Thank you again Kelley. I appreciate it.
