Today we have with us Steve Zabawa of WebBuy, who, together with Tom Murray, has created an extremely progressive digital retailing solution that you should definitely know about. Steve is also the owner of Rimrock Auto Group Cerca. Billings, Montana, where he moves Mercedes Benz, Sprinter or VW, KIA, Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac. Oh, yeah, a hot one called Subaru. How you doing, Steve?

Wonderful. Thank you. Kelly.. It’s been. Thanks for having us on today.

Kelly Kleinman:
Well, you know, Santa came out a bit early this year. Wanted me to tell you that WebBuy is our dealership owned Digital Retailing Solution of the Year. So congratulations. Thank you. That’s right.

Steve Zabawa:
That actually blew our mind. We’ve been hard at it for seven years and we really are just getting it out to the market right now and people are finding out about us. But we do have the most comprehensive digital retailing solution for auto groups in the world. So we’re very excited about having that.

Kelly Kleinman:
Well, yes, you do. You know, your team is a collection of highly experienced dealership executives. That experience goes a very long way to develop competence and excellence, not to mention, again, for great customer service. Congrats.

Steve Zabawa:
Thank you very much.

Kelly Kleinman:
So real quickly. Seven years ago, you had an idea. Then you approach time. What was it? What was the genesis of that idea?

Steve Zabawa:
Pretty simple, I went out on my front doorstep in Billings, Montana. And all these brown boxes were shown up everyday from my seven kids. I said, what is going on here? Something’s changing. And basically they were learning how to research and buy things on the Internet digitally with a credit card. And was a really good Amazon checkout experience and and quickness as far as delivery time and very transparent. And I said, why can’t we do that for the car business? And that’s where it started, the genesis there. And Tom and I started going to work on it were both 30 year plus experienced pros in the business handling a lot of different facets of the industry. And we were able to bring all those different that the OEM, the lender, the dealer, the consumer, all in one package. And now our products called WebBuy, and it’s in the auto group stores all across the country.

Kelly Kleinman:
And I’m sure 2020 is looking like a really good year for you. Anything special? You have in store for us.

Steve Zabawa:
Yes, in fact, at Rimrock Auto Group are our software is involved where we can actually do best price, do it digitally. We have a BDC to get this a digital dealership. Think about that in our BDC. We’re very excited about that. We just got that going this last month. It started January 1. All of our car deals at Rimrock and all of our five showrooms will be done digitally rather than the old traditional way of doing business. So we’re where we streamlined everything is going to be quick, efficient, transparent, and we just think it’s going to be best practice of the future. And anybody can come to Billings and come see the whole operation and find out what digital retailing is all about.

Kelly Kleinman:
You know, we’re going to be keeping an eye on that as a case study. So we’re definitely looking forward to seeing how that progresses moving forward. Thanks.
